Job Description
The incumbent will serve as the Programme Manager for two Master's programmes at the Department of Chemistry, namely, a new Master of Science Programme and a Joint Degree Programme. The appointee will support the smooth delivery of these two self-financing programmes and maintain high service standards. By working with the Programme Director and Dean's Office at the Faculty of Science, the incumbent will manage the end-to-end administration of these programmes including admissions, day-to-day programme operations and other related functions. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -
• Work closely with the Programme Director and the Dean's Office to take charge of the end-to-end administration of the MSc programmes throughout the student lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Programme Director, faculty members and Dean's Office to manage the programmes' admissions and day-to-day operations, ensuring high quality of service delivery.
• Serve as the point of contact to strengthen alumni engagement and enhance community cohesion, in line with the Programmes' overall branding strategy
• Plan and organize Programme-related events, including orientation and student activities.
• Provide general administrative support for the department as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info
• Degree from a recognized university.
• Programme management experience, preferably at least one year of experience as programme coordinator and/or in partnership development in the higher education sector.
• Organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Networking and event management skills.
• Motivated, self-starter with ability to contribute to strategic planning, and perform duties independently.
- Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.
- The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
