Casual Management Support Staff (Visual Communications)

Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum should have a strong interest in science, nature and in story-telling and excellent skills in digital media (videography, in particular), art and design.

Responsibility areas include but are not limited to the following:
1. Conceptualising and creating visual content for purposes of publicity, education or events, for e.g. by filming/editing/ producing videos, and creating illustrations/graphic designs for social media, events and programmes
2. Designing infographics to support Education & Outreach, or Publications
3. Collaborating/supervising external graphic designers, illustrators or animators engaged by as necessary 

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in media studies/ visual communications (or similar qualifications) with strong evidence of skills in videography, art or design, and photography. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Keen interest in science communication and nature.
• Excellent command of the English Language (both oral and written).
• Positive and approachable character, excellent interpersonal skills, resourceful, and able to take on varied tasks at same time.
• Well-versed in the use of Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Canva, Procreate, DSLR camera
