Job Description
The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Student Life and Alumni Relations (SLAR) Section in the Dean's Office, Faculty of Science. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following –
Undergraduate Professional Internship Programme (UPIP)
- Manage internship administration and ensure smooth operations in Undergraduate Professional Internship Programme (UPIP) processes.
- Act as the main liaison between students, staff advisors, industry partners and would-be partners for all internship opportunities and attend to their queries.
- Timely course allocation and grades entry for students on internship programmes.
- Manage TalentConnect system under Faculty of Science that captures all Science internship opportunities, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues with the Centre for Future-ready Graduates (CFG).
- Support UPIP related events and industry partner events, e.g., UPIP Send off, Ready for Internship, MOE Recruitment Talk and Industrial Sharing Series.
- Maintain database of both students and industry partners.
- Collaborate with CFG for all career preparation events.
Alumni Relations
- Manage all aspects of the alumni relations database and ensure records are accurate and detailed
- Assist in the planning and execution of alumni events such as reunions, networking sessions, social gatherings, and manage all aspects of event logistics
- Provide support on other outreach matters, as required, including events such as Open House and Commencement
Others
- Provide general administrative support for the SLAR Section
- Organise the Science Student Award Ceremony and Student Recognition Award Ceremony
- Assist in other SLAR Section activities and University events as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info
• Degree holder preferably with two to three years of work experience in customer-centric positions.
• Previous student leadership experience would be an advantage
• Good command of the English Language (both oral and written)
• Keen knowledge of computer applications and social media platforms
• A team player with the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
• Positive attitude with an approachable and pleasant disposition
• Articulate, poised and presentable
- Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.
- The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
