- Procurement & Logistics: Manage the entire lab purchasing pipeline, ensuring reagents and equipment are sourced and delivered in a timely manner.
- Safety & Compliance: Act as the primary Lab Safety Officer, managing chemical and biological safety protocols and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- General Lab Stewardship: Preparation of general reagents and buffers, and maintaining a highly organized, efficient working environment.
2. Specialized Technical Support
- AAV Production: Manage the complete AAV pipeline (transfection, harvest, purification, and qPCR quantification).
- Ad-hoc Research Support: Provide expert hands-on assistance for experiments, including molecular cloning, protein analysis, and histology.
- Team Mentorship: Supervise and train junior researchers in lab best practices and technical protocols.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience in research lab management. We are seeking a candidate with a demonstrated track record of maintaining lab continuity.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in mouse colony management and AAV production is a core requirement for this role.
- Immediate Impact: Ability to work independently and manage the lab's operational needs from day one.
- Professional Commitment: A strong desire for a long-term role. We value the stability and institutional memory that a long-tenured manager provides.
- Collaboration: An interest in neuroscience and a proactive, collaborative approach to supporting diverse research projects.
Why Join Our Lab?
This role offers the opportunity to be the central pillar of a productive research team. You will have significant autonomy in managing the lab’s day-to-day operations and will be a key contributor to our scientific mission.
