Job Description
The successful candidate will join Dr. Luo Min’s research group to investigate the structure and function of membrane protein complexes critical for mitochondrial function and cell division, using biochemistry, cell biology, and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct independent research on membrane protein complexes.
2. Apply cell biology approaches to study complex function in cellular contexts.
3. Carry out cryo-EM analysis of challenging membrane protein targets.
4. Draft manuscript independently.
5. Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.
Qualifications
PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Membrane Protein research, and Structural Biology, particularly Cryo-EM.
Skills:
Proficiency in molecular cloning, Bioimaging, insect or mammalian cell culture, membrane protein purification, cryo-EM data collection and processing, and structural model building.
Experience:
At least two first-author solid publication record in structural biology, biochemistry or cell biology.
