Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Lu Yixin under a collaborative project between NUS and A*STAR. The project goal is to develop a general protocol that transforms lignin depolymerization products into 1,4-bifunctional phenylene monomers such as tetraphthaloyl chloride (TPC) and 1,4-phenylenediamine.
The Research Fellow will also play the role of a project manager to coordinate, plan and manage the project. He/she will also be carrying out extensive characterization, data analysis, and produce data report and scientific publication.
For his/her role as project manager, he/she will also assist with documentation, communication among project partners, stakeholders, and budget tracking to support the smooth execution of the project. This role is essential for maintaining effective project management between NUS and A*STAR and ensuring that all milestones and reporting obligations are met efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications / Discipline:
• PhD in organic chemistry, with strong experience in organic chemistry and synthesis.
Experience:
• Publications in top international journals.
