Job Description
The Executive will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the Department's outreach, student engagement, and alumni relations initiatives. The role supports the Department's strategic objectives by fostering engagement with prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty members, and external stakeholders through outreach programmes, student development activities, departmental events, and communications.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
• Lead and coordinate the Department's outreach and engagement initiatives,
• Work closely with faculty members and the Science Dean’s Office (SDO) to support faculty-wide programmes and initiatives, including scholarship and award nominations, alumni and student features
• Plan and manage department events from conception to execution, including programme planning, speaker coordination, publicity, registration, catering, logistics, venue setup, and on-site event support.
• Provide guidance and administrative support to the student society and student-led programmes, budgeting and engagement activities.
• Organise and support undergraduate and postgraduate student development and engagement initiatives
• Conceptualise and organise alumni engagement initiatives and support the Department's efforts to strengthen alumni relations through events, communications, and networking activities.
• Manage and maintain the Department's webpages, alumni database, and social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn and Facebook), including developing publicity materials and identifying student and alumni stories to promote departmental achievements and engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Working experience:
Preferably 2–5+ years in one or more from the following fields:
Community engagement
Public relations
Partnership relations Marketing
Customer success
Event coordination (preferably in an institution of higher learning)

Data & Reporting
Good social media skills - savvy with social media platforms, content editing tools and video and photo-editing software, and web content management system, social media management tools. Able to work independently under tight deadlines, and able to multi-task.
Fresh graduates with relevant experiences will be considered.
