About Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT)

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.

CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore. The Centre also has staff at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. With some 200 staff and students, it offers a friendly and international work environment.

The role will execute the NQCH vision for building the National Quantum Computing Hub, and work to:

• support project PI(s) and manage project milestones and deliverables
• monitor NQCH budget and utilisation
• bring together the various parts of Singapore’s ecosystem who are interested to explore quantum computing
• onboard possible NQCH end-users and providers
• identify shared interests and connecting research groups and companies and brings researchers and end-users together, and to formulate an effective framework for execution of projects

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a BSc in Physics or a related subject,
• Corresponding management and project management skills
• Some years of post-graduation experience in quantum-physics research and teaching would be a plus.
• Meticulous, resourceful and proactive
• Excellent interpersonal skills with drive and independence
• Programming for web development and maintenance, Video recording and editing would be a plus
