Job Description
The Centre for Trusted Internet and Community (CTIC) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant (RA) under the CATOS project. The successful candidate will work closely with the research team on developing solutions to mitigate online harm. Interested candidates should have relevant background in MLLM and AI agents. The RA will assist in research design, implementation, experiments, and publications, contributing to advancing the state of the art in AI.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and contribute to development of persona-adaptive intervention technology.
- Develop and implement persona-adaptive system and experimental pipelines (Python/PyTorch/GitHub/Linux, etc.)
- Support data collection, preprocessing, and analysis
- Collaborate with Professors, Research fellows, PhD students, and other research partners
- Assist in preparing research manuscripts, technical reports, and presentations
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to team discussions
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred)
- Strong background in machine learning, natural language processing is an advantage
- Proficiency in programming (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and related ML libraries)
- Research experience in relevant AI areas will be highly valued
- Strong problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
Terms and Conditions
- The appointment will be for minimum one year
- Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, following NUS guidelines
