Job Summary
Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI) is establishing a new research lab under the leadership of Dr. Zhou Yilong. The lab will focus on RNA biology, cancer, and immunity.
We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to contribute to the lab's cutting-edge research on RNA-protein interactions, biomolecular condensates, and the role of RNA helicases in cancer. In addition to research responsibilities, the Research Assistant will play a crucial role in commissioning the lab, setting up essential equipment, and ensuring operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, or a related field.
- Prior experience with lab setup, equipment management, or commissioning of research facilities.
- Strong skills in molecular biology techniques (e.g., RNA isolation, PCR, cell culture, CRISPR).
- Knowledge of RNA biology, cancer biology, or immunology is advantageous.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools for RNA sequencing analysis is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with RNA helicases, biomolecular condensates, deep-sequencing and proteomic techniques.
- Prior involvement in lab commissioning or management.
- Familiarity with cancer models and translational research in RNA therapeutics in cell and animal level.
