Job Description
We are looking for a Research Assistant with experience in experimental atomic physics for a project in on quantum interfaces between internal atomic states and photons to prepare entangled atom-photon states. This position will involve the preparation of optical pulses with a well-defined time width and frequency, and requires experience with laser spectroscopy and single photon detection. Additionally, knowledge of quantum state estimation will be advantageous. The Research Assistant will work in a group of experienced researchers in an academic environment.
Job Requirements
We expect the candidate to have an Honours degree in experimental Physics, fluency in English, and experience in an experimental optics lab. Ability to integrate into a diverse team of researchers is very important. Knowledge in typical numerical tools for simulation and experimental control of experiments is highly desirable.
