Research Engineer (Smart Systems Institute)

Job Description

The Smart Systems Institute @ NUS is seeking a motivated Research Engineer with expertise in robotics, human-robot/AI-interaction, and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and develop platform, modular components for human-robot interaction.

• Work closely with various teams (students, researchers, engineers) to build demos, practical applications on XR/AR smart glasses (Hololens, Meta Quest, XREAL)

• Integrate with opensource libraries, tech stack (robotics, AI, ML, computer vision) for human-robotics interaction and applications.

Qualifications

•                     Minimum Bachelor / Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Robotics Engineering (or related area)

•                     Expertise in robotics and human-robot interaction.

•                     Experience with working on Linux, Python, integrating to APIs & libraries

•                     Expertise in AI, machine learning and applications to practical problems.

•                     Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
