Job Description
The successful candidate will work on the translation of next-generation ammonia engine research into commercially viable products by collaborating with the research team to align technology with market needs.
The role involves establishing strategic partnerships with industry engine manufacturers and supply chain to integrate the technology into production lines through joint development or licensing agreements. The job requires driving business development by identifying opportunities in sectors like marine and heavy-duty transport, leveraging the research team’s intellectual property (IP). Additionally, the specialist will conduct market analysis and engage stakeholders to secure funding, contracts, and regulatory support for commercialization.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience in energy, automotive, or manufacturing sectors, and a strong understanding of alternative fuel technologies.
Business Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, market entry strategies, and secure funding or contracts.
IP Skills: Manage IP portfolios, with legal expertise in drafting or reviewing collaboration agreements
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin, and Japanese, to effectively communicate and negotiate with collaborators from Chinese and Japanese companies and foster strong industry partnerships.
Communication skills: Good negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
