Job Description & Key Responsibilities

 

- Develop optical platforms for extracellular vesicle (EV) biosensing

- System development and instrumentation for EV analysis, integrating optical, electronic, microfluidic modules.

- Quantitative modelling and automated data analysis to validate experimental designs and interpret experimental observation, and enable automated data processing.

- Nanomaterial and surface chemical/biochemical engineering for enhanced plasmonic signal and interface for biochemical interactions.

- Assay development and biomolecular characterization for optimizing chemical/biochemical procedures and detection protocols for reproducible quantitative performance.

- Scientific writing and communication for publication and presentation.

- Collaboration and project leadership.

Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.

- Hands-on experience in biosensor and molecular assay development, optical microscopy, image analysis, and/or nanofabrication.

- Familiarity with MATLAB/Python data analysis, and basic signal or image processing concepts.

- Knowledge of plasmonic sensing, nanomaterials, or extracellular vesicle biology is advantageous.

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary environment.
