Job Description
The Centre for Trusted Internet and Community (CTIC) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow (RF) under the Digital Trust Centre project. The successful candidate will work closely with the research team on developing the trustworthiness of AI agents engaged in interactive digital tasks. Interested candidates should have relevant background in multimodal foundation models, AI agents, and spatial intelligence.
The RF will assist in research design, implementation, experiments, and publications, contributing to advancing the state of the art in AI.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews and contribute to problem formulation in the areas of trustworthiness of LLM and agentic AI systems
- Develop and implement AI models, algorithms, and experimental pipelines (Python/PyTorch/GitHub/Linux, etc.)
- Work with Professors and mentor graduate students and interns
Qualifications
- A minimum of a PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science
- Strong background in machine learning, LLMs and reasoning
- Proficiency in programming (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and related ML libraries)
- Research experience in relevant AI areas (e.g., foundation models, reasoning, generative models, embodied AI)
- Strong problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
