While enjoying tropical fruits such as durian, have you ever dreamed of preserving their freshness for a longer time? Would you be interested in decreasing how much food is wasted around the world?  If so, then why not join a new multidisciplinary team at NUS now making efforts to develop advanced edible coating that increase the shelf life of perishable goods.

The NUS Global Asia Institute (GAI) is looking for a full-time Research Fellow to join the team, we are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and is able to liaise effectively with food wholesalers and distributors locally and regionally. Some travel for field tests is expected. Ability to perform industry analyses is preferred. We hope you are a dynamic go-getter and someone who values autonomy and flexibility.

The team comprises experts on business for market analysis and on technology involving food science, engineering and chemistry.

Salary benefits will commensurate with skill set, experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD in relevant fields from a reputable institution.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in formulation development, polymer science, biomaterials, and synthetic chemistry
