Research Fellow (Materials/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering)

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our multidisciplinary team working on developing new synthetic and bio-based polymers and composite materials for applications in environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of the research team under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) on the following tasks:

• Developing materials and technologies for recovering resources from seawater desalination processes.
• Conducting research and experiments on materials synthesis, fabrication, testing, and characterization.
• Writing and preparing progress reports, manuscripts, and proposals related to the projects.
• Assisting the PI in mentoring junior researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
• Assisting the PI in managing projects and laboratories, as well as other tasks that may be assigned by the PI.

Qualifications

• A PhD degree in Materials, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or any other related field, obtained from a reputable university.
• Good record of research publications on related topics in reputable international journals.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Being a good team player across multiple disciplines.
• Prior experience in managing projects, laboratories, and research funding.
