The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.
CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore. The Centre also has staff at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. With some 200 staff and students, it offers a friendly and international work environment

Job Description

We are a quantum computing experimental research group based at the Centre for Quantum Technologies, NUS Singapore. We are looking for a quantum science expert who is self-motivated to support the experimental team with theoretical interpretation and develop quantum based algorithms with collaborators to be efficient implemented in an ion trap QC.

The new hire will work closely with a team of experts in ion trap QC and theory collaborators located both locally and globally.
 

Job Requirements

• The candidate should have a PhD in physics or a Masters in Physics related to quantum science and technology;
• The candidate should have more than two years of experience in relevant field of theory of matter light interaction;
• The candidate should preferably have experience in working with multiple research teams;
• Candidates who have a Masters but with relevant experience may be considered;
• Singaporeans and Permanent Residence preferred. 

The position is open to be filled immediately and it is funded under the National Research Foundation (NRF) Quantum Engineering Program.
