Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health:

 

 

Research Assistant (1 year, Diabetes and chronic disease projects)

 

 

We are looking for a full-time research assistant to support ongoing research projects in the areas of diabetes and related chronic diseases. The successful candidate will be expected to support in the recruitment of research participants, conduct of study procedures, data management, and coordination with multiple stakeholders. The candidate will be working under the Principal Investigator, Associate Professor Kavita Venkataraman, and will have the opportunity to acquire skills in chronic disease research.

 

 

Responsibilities:
• Coordination of study activities
• Recruitment and informed consenting of research participants,
• Data collection and management,
• Liaison with participants as well as internal and external teams partnering the studies
• Ethics application, and renewals,
• Drafting of presentations, reports and grant applications based on the work done

 

 

Requirements:
• Proficiency in Chinese or Malay will be an advantage as the position will work with Chinese and Malay speaking participants.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, as well as administrative skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in technology
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
• Ability to communicate effectively

Qualifications
