Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health: Research Assistant/Associate (1 year in the first instance)

 

 

A research assistant/associate position is available at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health in Singapore. You will support Associate Professor Piya Hanvoravongchai on research projects related to health systems performance and resilience in Asia. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact research in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment with exposure to health systems across Asia. You will be instrumental in a project that aims to provide critical insights into how health systems can be strengthened to be more effective and resilient in the face of current and future challenges.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities
As a research assistant/associate, you will be deeply involved in the day-to-day tasks of the project, including:
• Conducting in-depth literature reviews
• Analysing data using a variety of statistical techniques.
• Writing and preparing research reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Assisting the Principal Investigator with various tasks as needed to ensure the project(s) run smoothly.

 

 

Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about public health research. The ideal candidate will possess:
• A bachelor's degree in a health science-related field, OR a bachelor's degree with demonstrable quantitative analysis experience.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to collaborate with a team to achieve shared goals.
• A strong desire to pursue a career in research.

 

 

Relevant research experience in academia or government, especially with literature reviews or epidemiological data analysis, is highly desirable.

 

 

The appointment grade and salary will be determined by your academic qualifications and relevant experience.
