Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health:
Research Associate
A research associate position is available at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health to support the Principal Investigators in research projects in the areas of Biostatistics and Clinical Trials.
Major duties and responsibility of the post includes providing statistical input in the design, monitoring and analysis of clinical trials. In addition, the candidate is required to assist in report writing, presentations, and publication of the manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. Furthermore, he/she will need to contribute to the development and writing of research grant proposals. This includes clinical trials proposal as well as those involving the development of methodologies relating to study design, statistical methods of analysis and other clinical trials related issues.
The candidate must be an independent mature worker who is well-organized and has an eye for details. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. He/She must possess the ability to work effectively with colleagues to achieve team goals. Good proficiency in the following areas is essential:
1. Microsoft Office Applications, particularly MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
2. Statistical software such as Stata, SAS and R.
The successful applicant is expected to possess at least a Master's degree in Medical Statistics/ Statistics, preferably with experience in biostatistical consultancy. The grade of appointment will be accorded based on qualifications and work experience.
