Job Description

“NUS Global” or NUS Global Relations Office (GRO) is the international engagement arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS), serving a dual mandate. Broadly, GRO curates and manages mobility programmes that provide NUS students learning experiences abroad to support their educational, professional and personal development. GRO is also responsible for building collaborative relationships with overseas counterparts through alliances, networks and other channels to create value for our stakeholders.

GRO is now seeking to hire an assistant manager to support NUS Global Relations Office’s administration, business systems, daily operations and administration of financial aid to students.

Duties & Responsibilities

•    Oversee and support University-wide systems i.e., EduRec-Global Education (EduRec-GE), Databank and inter-departmental systems i.e., Enterprise Data Management System (EDMS), SharePoint and GRO Media Gallery. 
•    Ensure timely processing and review of applications for financial aid programs and/or student loan schemes. 
•    Manage and support office administration, encompassing daily operations, assets,  and facilities management. 
•    Collaborate and coordinate with various university departments, faculties, and central administrative units to deliver timely reporting and respond promptly to inquiries and requests for information from government ministries, agencies, and other stakeholders.
•    Participate in special projects to develop a new UX-designed, dynamic database and a new system to replace the existing system that administers global education programmes, financial aid and financial awards.
•    Engage in ad-hoc duties, including rotation-based responsibilities such as note-taking, fire warden duties, and assisting in GRO's events as needed. 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant experience in business administration and management, systems development and management, or a related field in a higher education setting.
•    Having experience in office administration and management is an essential requirement. 
•    Able to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment, demonstrating strong team player qualities and excellent interpersonal skills.
•    Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
•    Strong adaptability to evolving work scopes for special projects.
•    Ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels, including students, staff, and faculty members
