Assistant Manager (Facilities and Laboratory Safety) - SNRSI

Job Description

The Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Initiative SNRSI is a research institute at the National University of Singapore. SNRSI is looking to hire a Facilities and Laboratory Safety Officer to oversee building infrastructure and laboratory related issues.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage the upkeep of the facilities, engage and coordinate with contractors and NUS maintenance teams.
• Executing effective deployment to deliver day-to-day facilities management.
• Implementing all preventive maintenance programmes for all building, M&E installations in compliance with statutory / authority requirements.
• Overseeing contractors’ performance in accordance with contractual work scope and timeline of completion.
• Assisting the lead laboratory safety manager with implementing health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working laboratory environment.
• Assisting the lead laboratory safety manager to develop & review Risk Assessments & SOPs for facilities and general laboratory related operations.
• Assisting the lead laboratory safety manager to develop, manage and review safety protocols of the laboratories.
• Coordinate with researchers for their deliveries to the laboratory.
• Any other duties as required by senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma degree.
• 2 years of related working experience in building and facilities management will be an advantage.
• Experience with laboratory management will be an advantage.
• Must have a good command of written English.
• Familiarity with preparing safety related documents will be an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Careful and meticulous in their work.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Friendly and likeable personality.
