Job Description
This individual will be the lead production coordinator and will be responsible for managing productions and events in UCC. This individual is also required to assist the Head of Production Services in managing the technical aspect of the department and to also assist in administration duties. The individual must be a strong team player, able to lead and guide the team of production coordinators, give positive feedbacks to the Heads and has vast experience in Production Coordination.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible in the paperwork and payment collation for all casual crew in University Culture Centre.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients
• Coordinate, lead and supervise teams of theatre technicians working in multiple venues in a high-pressured hands-on environment.
• Interpret client’s stage designs, plans, fly plots, technical requirements and specifications. Supervise the provision of appropriate human and physical resources for events and venues in a cost-efficient manner.
• Contribute to the effective operation of the Production Services section through participation in the business planning processes, production meetings and other activities.
• Assist with the delivery of and participation in appropriate training and development programs.
• Assist with the generation of additional revenue through the development of new business opportunities.
• Provide input to and assist with the budget of the Production Services section to meet predetermined performance targets.
• Provide input to and assist with the research and implementation of a planned equipment maintenance and renewal program for the Production Services section.
• Manage department documentation archival /E-archival procedures
• Contribute to change management programs and equitable and safe work practices.
• Ensure safety technical operation is maintained at all times in the cultural centre.
• Production coordination for assigned shows/events.
• Assist the Head of Production Services in managing the department businesses
• Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Degree in Production Management or Technical Management or 7 years and above relevant experience in technical theatre industry
• Strong organizational and administrative skills are imperative to establish priorities and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written skills. Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Ability to interpret stage designs, drawings, plans, technical requirements, and specifications.
• Experience in technical operations in live theatre, events and concert industry.
• Must have good judgment and perception and take initiatives to accomplish assignments in a self-directing manner.
• Strong understanding of the department related equipment.
• Proficient in MS Office applications & basic knowledge in AutoCAD and or Vectorworks
