Job Description

The Quantum Engineering Programme (QEP) funds research and supports ecosystem building to bring quantum technologies to solve the challenges of end-users. Its work span quantum sensing, quantum communication and security and quantum computing. The programme was launched in 2018 by the National Research Foundation, Singapore and is hosted by the National University of Singapore. 

We seek an Assistant Manager to join the QEP office to support activities across the programme, including daily operations, events and grant management. The successful candidate will be part of a small, collaborative team working in a dynamic area of deep tech. The team coordinates with research scientists, startups, government agencies and multinational companies.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to ensure QEP operations run smoothly
  • Document, monitor, and update the team's work plan
  • Manage the process to establish written agreements with internal/external stakeholders
  • Coordinate team calendars and the scheduling of internal and external meetings
  • Oversees and arrange logistics for meetings and events
  • Support QEP outreach activities when required, for example in procurement, communications, and management of exhibits
  • Support the grant managers when required to (i) ensure compliance with grant T&Cs, (ii) oversee reporting to grantor and stakeholders and (iii) track progress of funded projects to ensure KPIs are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.  
  • Dynamic and resourceful person with good analytical, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong planning and organizing skills with ability to develop policies and procedures. 
  • Good attention to detail.   
  • Adaptable and proactive problem solver.  
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
