            About the Role
The Development Office (DVO) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join the Annual Giving Team. This role is integral to strengthening the culture of giving at NUS through:
- Developing and executing annual giving strategies and integrated campaigns targeting alumni, students and staff
 - Managing key fundraising initiatives (e.g. Commencement Giving, Year-End Appeals) across digital and traditional platforms.
 - Leading campus-wide outreach to foster a culture of giving and build a pipeline of future supporters.
 - Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver engaging content, events, and donor experiences.
 - Using data analytics to assess campaign effectiveness and guide strategy improvements.
 - Staying up to date with industry trends to introduce innovative engagement approaches.
 
Job Description
Alumni Giving
- Develop targeted engagement and fundraising strategies for specific alumni segments to cultivate meaningful gifting opportunities.
 - Lead the end-to-end process of these strategies, including ideation, conceptualisation, resource planning, execution, and follow-up.
 - Engage alumni through a range of appropriate channels such as digital marketing, innovative outreach methods, physical and virtual events, partnerships with champions and advocates, and collaboration with schools or university departments.
 - Identify donor segments for renewal and gift upgrades and execute tailored approaches in coordination with the major gifts team and other relevant stakeholders.
 
Student Philanthropy & Youth Engagement
- Leverage student touchpoints to identify and implement student-focused philanthropic initiatives.
 - Plan and execute awareness and giving campaigns around key milestones (e.g., Commencement Giving) to drive student participation and instil a culture of giving prior to graduation.
 - Cultivate the future donor base by recruiting and onboarding student champions and volunteers to support year-round giving initiatives.
 - Collaborate with student leaders across various clubs and student bodies to expand outreach and participation.
 - Coordinate with the communications team to manage and enhance existing and new outreach channels, including content creation and curation.
 - Collaborate with the data analytics team to develop donor segmentation strategies, track campaign performance, and design follow-up actions based on insights.
 - Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective campaign delivery, including responsibilities related to budgeting, logistics, procurement, and volunteer management.
 
Requirements for the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related discipline.
 - 5–7 years of professional experience in student, alumni, or community engagement, fundraising, or marketing.
 - Knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms, with a proven track record of leveraging digital channels for marketing or fundraising success.
 - Proven creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas for campaigns and engagement strategies.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive messaging for diverse audiences.
 - Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns concurrently.
 - Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
 - IT-savvy, with working knowledge of CRM systems and data management tools.
