Job Description
The Office of the Provost is looking for an Assistant Manager/Manager to conduct academic administrative and other processes, and support programme development, particularly in Communities & Engagement and NUS Cares. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment. The scope of responsibility is broad, and includes coordination with academic and non-academic units across the University, external agencies, and community partners. Training will be provided. Further details are as follows:
• Academic Administration & Course Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage academic administration and development for designated courses, particularly in Communities & Engagement. This includes course mounting, student enrolment, timetabling, venue-scheduling, student feedback & enquiries, continual and final assessment, board of examiners’ meeting etc.
• Community Partnership & Project Support: Strategic Initiatives Support. Support the planning and coordination of service-learning work/projects with community partners, including other administrative work, such as claims, budgeting, expenditure, and publicity.
Qualifications
• Good Bachelor Degree
• Good communication skills: proficient in English, high emotional maturity
• Good administrative skills: meticulous, logical, agile, adaptable
• Good project management skills: able to multi-task, manage stakeholders, meet deadlines, and work in teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience in leveraging generative AI tools for productivity and task automation will be highly advantageous
