Job Description

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about technology and enjoys making a real impact. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering IT projects, enhancing applications, and providing support that keeps our Faculty Administration running smoothly. You'll also play a key part in driving product success across its entire lifecycle, using your skills to analyse data, spot trends, and make informed decisions.
You'll be working closely with different teams, external partners, and stakeholders, gaining valuable experience while contributing to NUS's journey as a leader in educational innovation. Expect a welcoming environment where you can develop your skills and grow.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management
• Take charge of delivering projects successfully from start to finish.
• Ensure that project goals are met, including understanding user requirements, participating in solution design, testing, and deploying solutions.
• Help create and review project documents to maintain high quality and alignment with NUS standards.
• Manage procurement activities, such as preparing and publishing tender specifications, evaluating solutions/vendors, and handling contracts.
• Build strong relationships with business users and maintain open lines of communication.
• Work closely with vendors to make sure products and services are delivered as promised.
• Lead the project team by making the best use of resources and keeping team morale high.
 

Product Management
• Oversee the planning and execution of products throughout their lifecycle, gathering feedback from users, defining the product vision, and collaborating with colleagues from different areas.
• Make sure the product aligns with our overall strategy and goals.
• Stay updated on similar products in the market to keep our offerings competitive.
• Use research to plan the product’s development roadmap, ensuring it remains ahead of the curve.
• Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to increase the chances of successful implementations.

Maintenance and Support
• Ensure ongoing application maintenance and support, making sure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Oversee and provide support, including fixing bugs, handling service requests, and troubleshooting issues.
• Keep system documentation up to date, ensuring compliance with NUS standards.
• Perform system and data analysis, including refining existing logic and processes.
• Respond to audit queries and maintain security compliance.
• Work with business users to plan IT projects and prioritise enhancements each year.
• Collaborate closely with vendors to ensure they provide reliable support and maintenance.

Qualifications

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in the IT industry, including 3+ years in a technical role and 7+ years in project management.
• Strong understanding of modern IT technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, able to understand complex requirements and explain them clearly.
• A self-starter who’s capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• A proactive team player with a positive attitude, who learns quickly and stays organized.
• Experience in the Higher Education sector is a bonus but not a must!
