The NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) fosters a lifelong relationship between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and its alumni. It provides a platform for alumni to stay connected with the University and each other through various programmes, events, and networking opportunities. OAR supports alumni in their personal and professional development, encouraging their involvement in university initiatives and community service. By promoting a vibrant and engaged alumni network in Singapore and globally, OAR aims to strengthen the NUS community, enhance its reputation, and contribute to the university's mission of excellence in education, research, and service to society.
Job Description
• Create compelling and high-quality visuals for events, social media, newsletters, collateral and mementoes.
• Develop engaging infographics, reports, and presentations to support storytelling.
• Maintain a cohesive NUS alumni visual identity across all alumni engagement touchpoints, ensuring alignment with NUS brand guidelines.
• Design with a user-first approach, prioritising clear and simple messaging with cultural sensitivity.
• Direct and manage creative agencies.
• Produce interactive social media content, including graphics and GIFs.
• Optimise visuals for digital platforms, ensuring responsiveness across devices.
• Oversee project timelines, production schedules and deliverables.
• Maintain a well-organised digital asset library.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors for digital, print, and production needs.
• Stay updated on design trends, digital storytelling, and emerging creative tools.
• Experiment with new content formats to enhance alumni engagement.
Qualifications
• A good Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Communications or a related field.
• At least 7 years of proven experience in graphic design, preferably in marketing or communications.
• Experience in event production design, including stage visuals, banner designs and large-format prints.
• Experience in branding and visual identity development, ensuring cohesive and strategic design execution.
• Experience in managing photography and videography would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, composition and colour theory.
• Experience with social media platforms.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and UI/UX principles is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Problem-solving approach, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong portfolio showcasing diverse design work is required.
• Willingness to occasionally work beyond regular office hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events, if needed.
