Job Purpose

This role is responsible for leading Analytics in NUS IT and managing data-driven projects from initiation to closure.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide managerial and leadership support to the Analytics team, including fostering competency and supporting career development.
• Manage data-driven projects from initiation to closure.
• Drive upskilling in business/data analysis for the Analytics team, focusing on translating requirements into dashboard/report prototypes.
• Drive strong partnership with stakeholders to shape the strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and solutions of the Analytics systems.
• Oversee Enterprise Analytics product lifecycle, from ideation to discontinuation. This includes the overall successful provision of on-going product maintenance and support to ensure SLAs are met.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver data pipelines and to operationalize machine learning models, respectively.
• Drive upskilling in data visualizations for citizen data analysts through awareness, communication, training, clinics, and other supporting programs.
• Champion BI and advanced analytics technology, including its platform governance.

Requirements

• Degree in Computing, Data Science, Analytics, or Statistics.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, inclusive of 5+ years’ experience in product management.
• Proven experience in leading data analysis/science, especially in translating requirements into dashboard/report prototypes.
• Proven experience in managing projects using agile framework.
• Strong competencies in BI and machine learning, especially using Power BI and Azure ML/Data Science.
• Proven experience working with data management teams.
• Strong knowledge in data management principles, processes, techniques, and best practices.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels – both business and technical.
• Strong business process and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information thoroughly and quickly, and to communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely.
• Must be a self-starter, team player, fast learner, highly organized, positive attitude and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
