About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and meticulous Business System Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for individual who enjoys problem-solving at the intersection of business operations, system design and is passionate about improving user digital experiences. You will support and drive ongoing enhancement, maintenance and operations of CFG’s digital platforms, including the campus wide career management platform and related platform/ digital services used by students, alumni, staff and partners. This role reports to the Head of Tech Business Systems and will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, and vendors to translate business needs into system requirements, streamline processes and ensure smooth daily operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Engage stakeholders to understand business processes and challenges.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specification, user stories and process flows.
- Facilitate user requirements workshops, discussion and review sessions.
- Support the design, testing, and rollout of new system features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with vendors, internal NUS IT teams to support system enhancements, upgrades and new feature implementations, ensuring deliverables meet expectations.
- Review vendor deliverables for completeness and accuracy against user requirement specifications (URS) and/ or functional requirement specification (FSR).
- Assist in managing new IT projects/ initiatives, ensures project tasks progress accordingly to timeline.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), develop test scenarios, manage test execution, track defects and validate fixes.
- As part of the team, serve as the first point of contact for functional support queries from platform users. Provide guidance, troubleshooting and training to users when needed, and coordinate with vendor to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain and update system documentation, SOPs, functional user guides and other related knowledge base materials.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency, user experience, and operational workflows.
- Benchmark best practices and propose digital solution aligned with departmental and university needs.
About You
- Bachelor’ Degree in Information Systems, IT or related disciplines; Diploma holders in relevant fields may also be considered.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in business analysis, system implementation or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of business analysis frameworks, process mapping and user requirement documentation.
- Familiarity with user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and change management processes.
- Strong analytical thinking, good problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as a team player.
- Experience with education-related systems, internship portals, mentorship platforms, or CRM solutions will be an added advantage.
