The Health & Wellbeing (Office of the President) is responsible for the innovation, implementation and evaluation of health & wellbeing programmes and initiatives which support the general NUS population, as well as specific employees who are exposed to acute mentally stressful events. Job Description

As the Consultant and Programme Partner, you will be in charge of engaging various NUS departments to see the value of and seek buy-in for mental wellbeing programmes, as well as and helm projects contributing to the health and well-being of the NUS staff and student population: 

Stakeholder engagement and management  
•    Identify and active engagement of NUS departments that may benefit from organisational development and rope in OD practitioners and professionals to provide consultancy services such as:

  • Deep-dive into existing gaps and propose suitable needs assessment with departments
  • Propose suitable wellbeing solutions to address specific needs/gaps  
  • Conduct evaluation and presentation of results of implemented programmes 
  • In-charge of project management throughout the consultancy duration:
  • Manage and maintain stakeholder relationships 
  • Oversee implementation of proposed programmes/initiatives
  • Manage end-to-end logistical management of the project (e.g. coordination of dates, registration and attendance taking, assignment of trainers) 

Programme management
•    Management of Healthy Campus Initiative (HCI) to promote a healthy lifestyle for the NUS community

  •  Support in the proposal of strategies based on ground insights, to drive campus-wide health-related initiatives by galvanizing efforts from internal stakeholders (e.g. Office of Student Affairs, University Health Centre) 
  • Oversee staff/student applications to the HCI fund to run wellbeing projects on campus, including marketing, review of application proposals, consulting relevant stakeholders, and communications with applicants
  • Conduct continual review of internal processes to ensure smooth running of project, including processing and reimbursement 

•    Lead data management efforts for HWB

  • Conduct basic survey analyses for various HWB programmes/initiatives 
  • Lead a Programme Evaluation Committee to develop standard evaluation measurements across all HWB programmes/initiatives, partnering NUS’s Office of Data and Intelligence (ODI) to develop a consolidated dashboard for consistent reporting
  • Coordinate the roll-out of HWB’s annual Mental Health Survey, including identifying hypotheses to be tested, engaging ODI for comprehensive data analyses, and proposing recommendations based on the identified gaps and trends
  • Explore partnering suitable NUS stakeholders to leverage their expertise in data management to gain better insights into health trends (e.g. via social listening projects) and to propose nudges towards health behaviours in NUS (e.g. leveraging behavioural insights)
  • Preparation of presentations for report to management and stakeholders

•    Application of wellbeing-related awards to give visibility and recognition of HWB efforts

  •  Assist in the applications to various well-being related awards, supported by relevant data to demonstrate impact 
  • Coordinate with and gather information from relevant external stakeholders (e.g. Office of Human Resource, University Health Centre) to supplement application, demonstrating whole-of-university wellbeing efforts 

 

Qualifications

•    Degree holders related to health/mental health promotion (e.g. Masters of Public Health, Psychology), Organizational Development or Business Administration 
•    A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Consultancy/Programme Management 
•    Skills in data analysis, with ability to story-tell and propose recommendations based on findings, will be advantageous  
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong stakeholder management skills.
•    Strong project management skills, with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
•    Possess strong team spirit and support team mates in various projects 
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•    A strong interest in wellbeing and mental health
