Short Description

Project Management section manages new developments, additions & alterations (A&A), building improvements, facilities renewal, building regularization and code compliance works. Other infrastructure projects include multi-storey car parks, road improvement works, slope monitoring and stabilization, drainage improvement, pedestrian connectivity and barrier-free accessibility. The team also works with internal stakeholders and industry experts on sustainability for built environment which covers energy optimization initiatives for new and existing buildings. Ensuring quality, safety and sustainability in all projects.​

Job Description

  • Lead a team of project managers assigned projects on NUS campuses (Planning, Design Development, Procurement, Contracts Adminstration, Site Supervision, Liaison with various stakeholders, testing and commissioning, management of project account and defect liability issues)
  • Ensure the projects complete within schedule and approved budget, and is properly handed back to NUS user and to the maintenance team at Asset Enhancement (AE).
  • Work closely with the Project Team members and consultants and ensure that projects comply with NUS's policies and guidelines.
  • Provide progress updates on assigned projects for routine/ad-hoc management reporting.
  • Assist in any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A good Bachelor Degree or Master Degree preferably in area of Architecture/ Engineering/ Construction Management/ and preferably registered with the Board of Architects (BOA), Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore and or/ Society of Project Managers, Singapore (SPM).
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in construction project coordination, contract administration, project management and defects management
  • Experience in handling building development or Addition & Alteration (A&A) projects.
  • Knowledge in local regulations; working knowledge of the authorities submission requirement
  • Resourceful with excellent communication skills
