Job Description
The Development Office (DVO) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is responsible for cultivating and securing philanthropic contributions to support the University’s vision of being a leading global university shaping the future.
As part of the Gift Stewardship team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that philanthropic gifts received are in alignment with university fundraising needs, university policies, and donor intentions.

- Work closely and align with key stakeholders to facilitate the acceptance of major philanthropic gifts to the University.
- Oversee all aspects of gift stewardship, inclusive of gift fund utilisation, crafting of donor reports and drafting appreciation letters to donors.
- Maintain accurate records of recognition and reporting commitments to donors.
- Ensure compliance with University statutes, policies and guidelines.
- Continuously enhance and refine policies, processes to ensure best practice for all gift acceptance and stewardship matters.
Qualifications
- An interest in philanthropy work.
- A recognized university degree; candidates who possess a diploma with relevant experience will also be considered. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Process-driven with strong critical thinking skills.
- Proactive, inquisitive and meticulous, with the ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable in interacting with various stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in higher education or in philanthropy will be a plus.
