Job Description

Guest Services & Operations

  • Manage daily front desk operations, including guest registration, room allocation, and check-in/check-out.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Perform cashiering duties, including billing, postings, refunds, and payment reconciliation.
  • Operate mobile, kiosk, and digital guest communication systems independently.
  • Provide concierge assistance, such as transport arrangements, luggage handling, and local information.
  • Keep the lobby and front desk areas presentable and guest-ready at all times.

 

Team Support & Development

  • Work closely with Senior Executives and team members to ensure smooth shift operations.
  • Contribute to daily briefings by sharing feedback and observations.
  • Support the training of new hires by demonstrating service standards and front office procedures.

 

Administrative & Financial Duties

  • Prepare and submit accurate end-of-shift reports.
  • Maintain guest folios, ensuring posting accuracy and cash balancing.
  • Keep records up to date and safeguard the confidentiality of guest data.
  • Assist with inventory control of front office supplies.

 

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security to resolve guest requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure clear and complete handovers between shifts.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Senior Executives or the Assistant Manager as appropriate.

 

Safety & Crisis Management

  • Follow emergency procedures and assist in carrying them out when required.
  • Report safety, maintenance, or security concerns immediately.
  • Support guest and staff safety by adhering to hotel protocols.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in customer service or front office operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with front office systems such as StarRez is an advantage.
  • Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a guest-first approach to service and problem-solving.
  • Basic computer proficiency and strong attention to detail.
  • Accurate in cashiering and administrative tasks.
  • Able to multitask and remain composed and professional under pressure.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a proactive approach.
