Job Description

You will join the Service Desk team in creating the best user experience (UX) possible for NUS IT infrastructure websites, applications and solutions to provide friction-free engagement for our users.  You will communicate the values of NUS IT services to the NUS community to generate awareness and buy-in to these services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Involve in end-to-end UXUI activities in Design Thinking methodology
  • Collaborate with users, vendors and stakeholders to design solutions that balances user needs, resource constraints and development feasibility
  • Drive UXUI design for IT services by performing user research, designing visual and interaction experience, creating customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes and performing usability tests
  • Provide UX expertise to projects from evaluating product, influencing deployment process, designing information architecture and taxonomy, creating user-centric guides, creating prototypes to participating in user usability tests
  • Design marketing assets (eg: infographic) and create content to articulate the benefits of IT services to stakeholders and users 
  • Develop or refine documentation (eg: framework, guidelines, processes) to incorporate usability and user-centric design
  • Design and maintain IT services websites to keep content updated and appealing to users
  • Raise design bar by creating innovative experiences that are visually appealing, friction-free and satisfying for users
  • Champion for UXUI adoption and create awareness throughout NUS IT


  • Bachelor of Science/Arts/Engineering in Design, Computer Science or other relevant field of study
  • At least 3 years working experience in UX design for applications including those on Android and iOS platforms
  • Working knowledge of Design Thinking and/or UX design principles
  • Experience with user testing and usability analysis
  • Excellent visual design skills with proficiency in graphic design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD or Figma
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and WordPress
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with ability to interact with stakeholders and users at different levels
  • Have portfolio or experience to demonstrate experience in producing sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, task-flows or relevant design artifacts
  • Experience in Marketing and/or Communications is an added advantage
