Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for the application support in the HR and Payroll business domain across SAP Successfactors, Employee Central Payroll and other platforms, with an emphasis on the payroll system. Responsibilities include project/module implementation, system maintenance, configuration, testing, end user support for existing systems and implementation of new functions/modules. He/she needs to work closely with fellow IT colleagues, the user community, external vendors and other stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
• Lead/participate and be accountable for the overall technical delivery of the module/function being implemented, ranging from procurement, business requirements gathering, technical evaluation and solution design, build and configuration, documentation, testing to go-live.
• Evaluate potential solutions and make recommendations to management and business users.
• Create and/or review project artefacts and deliverables to ensure quality and NUS guidelines and polices are met.
• Support procurement activities, including amongst others, preparation and publishing tender specifications, evaluating and recommending potential solutions and/or vendors, contract management etc.
• Liaise closely with business users and builds good rapport.
• Liaise closely with vendors to ensure successful delivery of products and/or services in accordance to contract.
• Coordinate with teams integrating other applications, including SAP S/4HANA, with SAP Employee Central Payroll
Maintenance and Support
• Responsible for maintaining, configuring, testing, and supporting HR and payroll systems, with a primary focus on the payroll system.
• Gather and analyse business requirements, perform impact analysis, advise and propose functional and technical solutions to address business needs.
• Accountable for the overall successful provision of on-going application maintenance and support to ensure SLAs are met.
• Oversees and/or provides maintenance and support of applications, including amongst others, delivery of enhancements and bug fixes, managing service requests, troubleshooting of problems etc.
• Creates, updates and/or reviews systems artefacts and deliverables to ensure quality and NUS guidelines and polices are met.
• Handles audit queries, and ensures audit and security compliance are met.
• Liaises closely with business users and build good rapport
• Work closely with business users in annual IT project planning and enhancement prioritization.
• Liaise closely with vendors to ensure successful provision of support and maintenance in accordance to contract.
• Manages team to ensure optimization of manpower resources while maintaining a healthy team morale
Qualifications
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years within IT industry in a technical role, and at least 3 years’ experience in project management.
• At least 3-5 yrs experience supporting or managing SAP Successfactors, Employee Central Payroll or ERP Payroll System.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in SAP Successfactors, Employee Central Payroll, and Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge in the following systems and modules will be an added advantage:
OpenText Enterprise Content Management, Dropbox Sign, Mobile Applications and/or Applications Development using Business Technology Platform.
• Good grasp of IT technologies, methodologies, architectures, and best practices.
• Strong business process and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely.
The ability to understand the business questions that users are trying to answer is essential.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, users and vendors.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Must be a good team player, proactive, fast learner, highly organized and with a positive attitude.
• Certification in PMP or CITPM will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Higher Education industry is a bonus.
