Job Description
You will be part of the Office of Student Conduct (OSC) unit supporting the Associate Provost (Student Conduct) to work with stakeholders in the University to administer student conduct policies and coordinate student conduct procedures, including disciplinary hearings.
• Facilitate the preliminary evaluation of disciplinary offences reported by departments by assisting them in interpreting the prevailing guidelines for student discipline and sanctions, and directing them to the respective disciplinary bodies for adjudication
• Work with stakeholders such as Academic Deans, Office of Student Affairs, Registrar’s Office, NUS Care Unit, Student Housing as well as Compliance, Legal and Communications offices in coordinating student disciplinary actions and sanctions
• Provide administrative and secretariat support to the University’s Board of Discipline (BOD) and Disciplinary Appeals Board (DAB)
• Support the overall activities of OSC including rehabilitative support for offenders, administering Respect & Consent e-module and facilitator training programme, maintenance of records and OSC website, and data collation for Report on Complaints of Sexual Misconduct
• Other duties assigned by Associate Provost (Student Conduct)
Qualifications
• A good university degree in any discipline
• At least 2-3 years of work experience
• Knowledge and understanding of higher education student conduct policies and student records system will be an advantage
• Comfortable in dealing with complex and challenging situations
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
• Organised, good with details and able to work independently
• A responsible team player with positive work attitude
• Proficient in MS Office applications
