Reporting to the Lead HR Partner for CDE, you will work with your client to co-design people solutions and spearhead people strategies to deliver value-added service to management and employee that reflects the business objectives of NUS.
 

Responsibilities:

As a key member for the HR Partnering team in CDE, you are expected to work closely with HR functional teams and HR Shared Services team within the Office of Human Resources to meet the needs of your clients and the University. Your main commitments are, but not limited to:
• Partner with academic leaders, function heads and line managers to provide advisory on all HR-related matters.
• Handle day to day HR activities such as staff appointment and re-appointment matters, etc.
• Manage staff programmes, processes and initiatives of the College such as promotion and tenure, mid-term advisory report, academic awards, consultation work policy, etc where applicable.
• Facilitate annual performance and compensation reviews
• Analyse HR trends and metrics.
• Resolve complex employee relations issues and address disciplinary matters.
• Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferably with at least 6 years of experience in HR Business Partnering or equivalent role, ideally in higher education sector.
• Bachelor degree or above, in human resources or related field are preferred.
• Demonstrable business and HR acumen, and ability to drive HR solutions 
• Demonstrable consulting skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders  
• Strong influencing and collaborating skills, with demonstrable ability to work across various HR teams and with staff at all levels
• Resourceful and self-driven with a high degree of professional integrity
• Meticulous and demonstrable experience with HR metrics
• Good knowledge of labour legislations and HR best practices
