Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager/Technical Consultant to lead and deliver enterprise service management initiatives on the BMC Helix Digital Workplace and BMC Helix Business Workflow platforms.
This is a hybrid role that blends end-to-end project ownership with hands-on technical configuration and solution delivery. If you are someone who enjoys driving projects, working closely with stakeholders, and building technical solutions yourself – this role offers the best of both worlds.
Project Leadership
- Lead full project lifecycle for BMC Helix enhancements, upgrades and implementations – from planning to deployment
- Work with business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors to ensure successful delivery
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, budgets, procurement and documentation
- Provide regular status reporting and drive issue resolution and decision-making
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security and audit requirements
Technical Solutioning & Configuration
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Configure and implement features on
- Helix Digital Workplace
- Helix Business Workflow
- Build workflows, automation rules, forms service catalogs, and process logic
- Develop and maintain API integrations with enterprise systems
- Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and performance optimisation
- Support UAT, handle defects and oversee production releases
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain platform configurations, environments and integration points
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and user experience
- Provide post-implementation support and ensure SLA adherence
- Support audits, security reviews and compliance processes
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accountable for successful end-to-end project delivery in enterprise service management, particularly with BMC Helix platforms
- Oversee project execution to meet agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Manage procurement, including preparation of tender specifications, vendor evaluations, and contract management
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful outcomes
- Balance fiscal efficiency with the delivery of project goals
- Drive continual service improvement initiatives for enterprise service management solutions
- Provide post-implementation support, maintenance, and enhancements aligned with SLAs
- Ensure compliance with IT security, data management, and corporate policies
- Respond to audit queries and ensure audit and security compliance
- Provide clear and regular project status updates to stakeholders, and manage scope changes as required
- Identify risks, analyse impact and implement mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports and meeting minutes
Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- 5 to 8 years of IT experience, with
- minimum 3 years in technical development roles
- minimum 3 to 5 years leading IT projects
- Hands-on experience with BMC Helix Digital Workplace and Helix Business Workflow, including configuration, customisation, workflow design, and integration development
- Proficiency in scripting, APIs and data transformation work
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture, IT security policies, and compliance requirements
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and tools
- Skilled in stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Certifications in PMP, CITPM or CSPO will be an added advantage
- Experience with AI/automation technologies integrated into service management platforms (eg. BMC HelixGPT, Azure OpenAI) will be an added advantage
