Investor (Principal)

Job Description

Responsible for assisting the CIO and Managing Directors in managing all Invested Funds in accordance with guidelines, strategies and policies approved by the Board Investment Committee from time to time. Support the implementation of investment strategies across the endowment’s multi-asset class portfolio. Enhance performance measurement and analytics, risk management, manager due diligence, operational controls, management reporting, and overall investment process.
 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor strategies on tactical asset allocation consistent with the approved investment policies within the asset class operating ranges.
• Build and cultivate a deep network of managers and funds. Conduct screening, selection and ongoing due diligence of external managers to ensure appropriate strategies, controls and decision-making processes.
• Perform detailed analysis of investment ideas and generating recommendations of the best investment ideas for the portfolio.
• Monitor the performance and progress of the Invested Funds in accordance with stated investment objectives, integrating risk monitoring, measurement and management into all aspects of the investment process.
• Support the Managing Director in constructing portfolios that meet the investment objectives in a risk efficient manner.
• Manage interaction and prepare materials as requested by NUS senior management.
• Mentor younger members in the Investment Office.

Qualifications

• Have at least 10 years of experience in Asset / Fund Management is a requirement.
• Knowledge and experience as an allocator across different asset classes
• Possession of a CFA or Risk Management qualification would be an advantage.
