Job Description

  • Individual Counselling and Interventions: Provide evidence-based individual assessments and interventions, employing CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based techniques or other therapeutic modalities. Deliver interventions to address at-risk employees exposed to acute and stressful events, utilizing trauma-focused approaches to facilitate healing and resilience. Offer tailored support to employees across NUS, promo􀆟ng their general wellbeing. 
  •  Clinical Workflow Implementation: Assist in implementing clinical workflows and best practices, ensuring quality and timely case management. Uphold the highest standards of psychological care within our institution. 
  • [Optional] Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision to counsellors/psychologists in Health and Wellbeing, if candidate qualify to be a Clinical Supervisor (e.g., Eligible for registration to be or already are registered as a SRP supervisor).
  • [Upon request] Wellbeing Training and Workshops: Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to empower employees, managers, and leaders to engage in meaningful mental health conversations. Foster an inclusive and empathetic community by equipping individuals with the necessary tools and knowledge (e.g., Peer Staff Supporter Programme). Leverage interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance the overall mental health landscape. 

Qualifications

  • A Masters or PhD degree in Clinical Psychology, Applied Psychology, or Counselling from an accredited institution. Your advanced education equips you with the knowledge and expertise to provide exceptional mental health care. 
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges or with psychosocial needs. Your practical experience demonstrates your ability to empathetically address diverse mental health concerns. 
  • Professional Registration: Eligibility for registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists in Singapore (htps://singaporepsychologicalsociety.org/singapore-register-of-psychologists/) or the Singapore Association for Counselling (htps://sacsingapore.org/). Your affiliation with these esteemed organizations underlines your commitment to ethical and professional standards in mental health practice. 
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated analytical acumen and problem-solving abilities. Your capacity to assess situations critically and devise effective solutions is integral to your role in supporting individuals' mental health. 
  • Client and Project Management: Proficiency in client management. Your skills in managing client relationships ensure the seamless delivery of health & wellbeing services. 
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills coupled with strategic partnership abilities. Your capacity to build meaningful connections and form strategic partnerships is pivotal in creating a supportive and collaborative environment. 
  • Independence and Teamwork: The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, coupled with experience in implementing projects involving cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, Health & Safety, Health Centre, University Counselling Services, and EAP vendors). Your balanced approach to independent work and collaboration ensures the success of multifaceted health & wellbeing initiatives.
