About NUS Care Unit
Housed under the Office of the Provost, the NUS Care Unit is a specialist in-house provider of trauma-informed care to both staff and students of the campus community at large. We specialize in providing high-level support and care for survivors of sexual misconduct in their journey of recovery.
We are looking for a Manager to join the NUS Care Unit in providing high-level support and care for victims of sexual misconduct in their journey of recovery. The Manager is primarily responsible for the front desk duties, both telephone and face-to-face, and will greet walk-in clients and arrange for same day consultations with the on-duty Care Managers. The incumbent will also manage the case management software.
Job Description
• Perform front desk duties that include scheduling of client’s appointments, administering walk-in clients, managing telephone calls and handling of enquiries and providing programme information
• Provide direct access for clients reaching out to NCU through the various contact channels - walk-in services, confidential help form, 24-hour helpline and help email, by channelling queries to appropriate on-duty Care Managers within the same day
• Provide office and administrative support to Care Lead/ Care Managers
• Carry out day-to-day responsibilities in aid of Unit operations (e.g., manage incoming letters, calls to general line and emails to general mailbox)
• Administer role-based email account to ensure information, enquiries and requests are promptly disseminated and handled
• Manage case management software and generate caseload dashboards. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns and present findings
• Any other duties assigned
Qualifications
Education and experience
• Diploma or Bachelor’s in any discipline, Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or related field is a plus
• 2-4 years of working experience is preferred
Other
• Knowledge in front line duties and work experience in an education/ college environment serving faculty, staff and students is a plus
• Excellent inter-personal, empathy and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Commitment to confidentiality
• Confidence in handling staff members, which may include senior level executives and faculty is a plus
• Computer savvy, proficient in MS office, especially Excel and Word
