Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Order-to-Cash (OTC) team. The successful candidate will report to Order-to-Cash Lead and lead the Accounts Receivable function and play a key role in strengthening credit management, receipting accuracy, and process governance. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive process and system implementation projects, champion continuous improvement, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and financial control. The incumbent will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve invoice issues, support business initiatives, and ensure robust operational governance within the OTC function.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management
- Establish and maintain a structured credit control framework, including credit evaluation, monitoring, and follow-up processes to manage customer credit risk.
- Develop, document, and enforce credit policies and procedures in alignment with organizational objectives and governance standards.
- Lead credit control activities such as credit assessment, limit management, and monitoring of overdue accounts.
- Oversee the timely and accurate receipting of payments and reconciliation of customer credit balances in SAP.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to implement process and system enhancements related to Accounts Receivable (AR), credit management, and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience across the Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle.
Driving Prompt Payments & Stakeholder Management
- Work with internal departments to monitor and resolve outstanding invoices promptly.
- Liaise with customers and finance teams to address payment issues and disputes effectively.
- Engage and manage stakeholders across departments to achieve desired outcomes and ensure accountability in the payment process.
Governance, Systems & Process Improvements
- Lead and support process and system implementation projects to strengthen operational efficiency and financial governance.
- Establish and monitor effective internal controls to ensure compliance with financial and audit requirements.
- Champion innovation and automation through tools such as Power BI and Power Automate to enhance analytics, reporting, and process visibility.
- Collaborate with BPOs and internal teams to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
Month-End Closing & Reporting
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate Accounts Receivable reports and analysis to management.
- Support month-end closing activities, including preparation of general ledger schedules and follow-up on review points.
Ad-Hoc Responsibilities
- Support organizational initiatives to build finance capability and strengthen the effectiveness of the Financial Shared Services (FSS) team.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or its equivalent
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, or Order-to-Cash operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive informed business decisions
- Proven experience in process and system implementation, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and governance within an operational finance environment
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams to achieve desired outcomes
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with hands-on experience in Power BI and Power Automate to leverage data analytics, reporting, and automation for process improvement and operational efficiency
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, with demonstrated leadership in guiding teams, streamlining processes, and driving performance excellence.
