Job Description
Reporting to Senior Associate Director, the incumbent will support General Ledger, Financial Reporting and Controllership operations, processes and systems to ensure:
- Timely transaction processing
- Timely reporting of Operational, Management, Statutory and Regulatory reporting
- Proper monitoring and execution of process/system controls
- Timely and clear operational process documentation and policies and maintenance of policies
- Leadership in process improvements/projects and support of system changes/upgrad
General Ledger, Financial Reporting and Controllership:
1. Preparation of accounting schedules and statutory financial statements
2. Assist in the preparation of management financial statements
3. Ensure timely closure of accounts by working closely with respective stakeholders
4. Perform account analysis of common Balance Sheet A/Cs and coordinate with stakeholders to review balance sheet GLs;
5. Preparation of various statistical returns and ad-hoc surveys an adhoc requests for financial information;
6. Review and update policies and procedures to be in line with changes in accounting standards
7. Provide advice and guidance to departments on policies and procedures
8. Lead in user training of new processes/procedures/policies and continuous user education of existing processes/procedures/policies.
9. Review and process WBS creation requests, ensuring master data is aligned with enterprise structure.
10. Perform reviews (eg. dormant WBS review, housekeeping of completed projects).
11. Lead in process improvements and co lead/support entity level projects.
12. Identify and drive areas for improvement
13. Measure and report process timeliness, quality and efficiency
14. Conduct reviews and data analytics to enhance controls
15. Oversight of the Risk Control Matrix
16. Administration of SAP system and system accesses
17. Participate in projects and assignments as may be directed from time to time.
Qualifications
- Possess a degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or equivalent awarded by a recognised University.
- Working experience of 5-7 years.
- Familiar with SAP S4Hana Financial system is an advantage.
- Have good analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Be meticulous and resourceful with positive work attitude.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Mature and possess good interpersonal skill
