Job Description

AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF), Singapore, to build and anchor deep national capabilities in AI.  AISG is supported through a government-wide partnership including the NRF, Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Economic Development Board (EDB) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG). We bring together research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies to support impactful research, develop talent, and power Singapore's AI efforts.

This role reports to the Director of Talent and supports AI Singapore’s Talent Pillar across research talent engagement, outreach, daily operations, and project management.

This role will coordinate and deliver research projects, while creating and communicating content that showcases AISG Talent’s work and academic research pathways to audiences ranging from students, professors to industry researchers.

As a hybrid role combining creative communication and project management, its goal is to strengthen the visibility of AI Singapore’s initiatives locally and globally.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Talent Engagement Assistant Manager / Manager is required to perform the following:

Outreach and Engagement

  • Content Development and Production: Work with the AISG Talent team to curate and produce engaging (multimedia) content that showcases the Talent Pillar’s researchers, career pathways, research outcomes, and opportunities, specifically targeted for researchers, postgraduate students, technical communities, and other relevant audiences such as Talent Pillar’s stakeholders.
  • Digital Engagement:  Develop and manage digital channels to engage the students and researchers under the AISG Talent programmes, and to increase awareness of research programmes and opportunities among researchers, students, and technical communities.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Support the planning and execution of research-focused outreach activities, including seminars, workshops, recruitment engagements, and community events. Coordinate logistics, programme materials, speakers, participants, and on-site operations to ensure AISG’s research and talent opportunities are represented effectively.
  • Research Community Intelligence: Monitor how students, researchers, research institutions, and technical communities in Singapore and overseas communicate and engage online. Identify emerging research interests, influential voices, talent communities, and effective engagement approaches to inform and promote AISG’s research talent programmes.

Programme Operations

  • Project Planning and Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive plans, timelines, milestones, and activity schedules for AI talent programmes.
  • Reporting and Communication: Support the director in effective reporting and communication of programme plans, timelines, milestones, and activities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administrative Support: Support the daily operational needs of the Talent pillar, including record-keeping and project documentation to ensure audit-readiness.
