Job Description

The NUS Care Unit is a specialist in-house provider of trauma-informed care to both staff and students of the campus community at large.
 

We are looking for experienced Care Managers to join NUS Care Unit in providing high-level support and care for victims of sexual harassment in their journey of recovery. Incumbents will also participate in strategic decision making, help our Unit in directing and operationalizing its day-to-day functions, and support NUS engagement and outreach efforts to raise awareness about sexual harassment for positive and lasting change.
 

•   Manage and ensure adequate and timely response to victims reaching out to NUS Care Unit through calls, emails, walk-ins, referrals and other platforms

•   Befriend and engage with victims during In-Care phase in order to establish empathic and professional rapport

•   Conduct intake interview, client support and management of cases, including providing and arranging for the Unit's services

•   Scheduled for on-call duties on a rotation basis, including after-hours on-site activations

•   Liaise with NUS Management as well as with authorities, including the police, hospitals and lawyers, to facilitate the above

•   Perform regular filing of reports and case notes with strict emphasis on data integrity

•   Contribute professional expertise in outreach activities

Requirements

·  Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in social work, counselling, psychology, or related field

·  Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience

·  Knowledge in trauma management and related work experience in an education/college environment is a plus

·  Should have strong case management skills and be detail-oriented, conscientious, thorough and accurate

·  A strong team player with excellent inter-personal, empathy and communication skills

·  Good analytical skills and commitment to confidentiality

·  Confidence in handling staff members is a must  

·  Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

·  Strong presentation, persuasion, and facilitation skills, preferably with experience in delivering teaching and training

·  Able to deal with complexity, and to use initiative and situational judgment to solve problems effectively; to thrive in high stress conditions while projecting professional equanimity

·  Computer savvy, proficient in MS office
