Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Manager, FP&A Data Enablement & Governance to strengthen data infrastructure, system integration, and governance within Central FP&A. Based in the Finance department, this role serves as the key technical bridge between Finance, IT, and system vendors ensuring robust data integration, system stability, and sound data governance practices across the FP&A landscape.

This is a senior individual contributor role that demands both strategic thinking and deep hands-on execution. The successful candidate will personally build, configure, and troubleshoot systems and reports, not simply oversee them. Equally important, this role requires strong communication skills and a proven ability to drive change management: the person must be able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, build buy-in for new processes and tools, guide users through transitions, and ensure sustained adoption across diverse teams. Prior experience with AI tools or frameworks is highly valued as the organisation embraces AI across its operations.

Key Responsibilities

FP&A System (Jedox) Management & Acorn Hub

  • Manage the day-to-day configuration and optimisation of the Jedox system, including dashboards, data infrastructure, and integration points.
  • Maintain and continuously improve documentation of system architecture, data flows, reporting structures, and integration points to ensure transparency and operational continuity.
  • Translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions, working closely with IT and external vendors.
  • Maintain and enhance the Acorn Hub (WordPress), including designing and adding new content to support user engagement and self-service access to FP&A resources.

Jedox Operations, Support & Period-End Closing

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Jedox-related queries including administrative enquiries, mapping and dimension issues, technical problems, and data export requests — triaging, resolving, or escalating as appropriate.
  • Handle user access provisioning, adjustments, and de-provisioning, managing requests both offline and through Helix in line with IT governance and security policies.
  • Monitor system performance and support day-to-day operations, performing root cause analysis for recurring issues and implementing preventive measures to minimise disruptions.
  • Track and manage vendor SLA adherence for incident resolution and support response times.
  • Maintain an operational knowledge base documenting common issues, resolutions, and workarounds to support faster resolution and reduce repeat queries.
  • Manage the Jedox month-end closing workflow end to end including managing the Period End Activities Tracker in Power BI, executing period-end activities, verifying completeness, and managing Jedox period-end configuration changes.
  • Track and troubleshoot data pipeline issues during period-end cycles, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness for financial reporting.
  • Work with stakeholders to refine Jedox dashboards and reports based on evolving business needs and feedback.

Jedox Change, Release & Vendor Management

  • Scope, prioritise, and manage change requests and system fixes, aligning weekly with Jedox on progress, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate monthly with BPO, NUS IT, and Jedox on cross-functional change requirements, and align internally on priorities and sequencing.
  • Manage UAT cycles for system changes and enhancements, ensuring thorough testing and stakeholder sign-off before release.
  • Maintain a change log and release calendar to provide transparency on upcoming changes and their expected impact.
  • Contribute to scoping, requirements gathering, and readiness planning for potential Phase 2 enhancements, including evaluation of AI-enabled features and expanded reporting capabilities.
  • Participate in the Jedox Service Line implementation on Helix, aligning requirements with NUS IT on a bi-weekly basis.

Power BI Consolidation & Enterprise Reporting Governance

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of all Power BI dashboards across central and faculty teams, cataloguing data sources, refresh schedules, and usage patterns to build a clear picture of the current reporting landscape.
  • Consolidate and rationalise dashboards into a unified, well-governed reporting framework — retiring redundant or outdated reports and standardising those that remain.
  • Assess and enforce data source consistency across all reports, ensuring that dashboards draw from approved, reconciled sources and align with Jedox as the single source of truth for FP&A data.
  • Define and maintain reporting governance standards including naming conventions, dataset certification, row-level security, refresh schedules, and version control.
  • Personally build and optimise Power BI reports and data models using advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and best-practice data modelling techniques — this is a hands-on, build-it-yourself expectation.
  • Communicate the rationale for consolidation clearly to affected teams, manage expectations during transitions, and provide hands-on guidance to help users adapt to the new reporting framework.
  • Manage Power BI gateway configurations, workspace permissions, and enterprise deployment to ensure reliability and appropriate access.

Data Management, Integration & Governance

  • Personally extract, transform, verify, and upload non-financial data into Jedox (monthly) and Power BI (three times a year), managing the end-to-end data pipeline and resolving discrepancies to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Carry out data quality activities — including profiling, validation, and reconciliation — across systems (e.g., ERP, data lake, Jedox, Power BI) to maintain consistency and reliability of FP&A data.
  • Explore and implement AI-based data quality checks and automated validation where practical to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Support the development and implementation of data governance guidelines, including data ownership, accountability frameworks, data classification standards, and access control policies.
  • Promote responsible data sharing across teams while ensuring proper usage, documentation, and compliance with data security and privacy protocols.

AI Opportunity Identification & Enablement

  • Proactively assess FP&A workflows and processes to identify practical opportunities where AI can add value such as intelligent data extraction, automated reconciliation, anomaly detection, predictive forecasting, or natural-language querying of financial data.
  • Develop and execute proof-of-concept pilots for promising AI use cases, personally hands-on in building prototypes and evaluating feasibility before recommending production-scale adoption.
  • Stay current with emerging AI developments relevant to Finance and FP&A, translating trends into actionable recommendations.
  • Support the building of AI awareness and comfort within the team and among stakeholders through informal knowledge sharing, practical demonstrations, and clear communication of benefits and limitations.

Change Management & Stakeholder Communication

  • Develop and execute change management plans for system transitions, process changes, and new tool rollouts, ensuring affected stakeholders understand what is changing, why, and how it impacts their work.
  • Craft clear, tailored communications for different audiences from technical teams to senior management translating complex system and data concepts into accessible, actionable language.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one walkthroughs to support user adoption of new systems, reports, and processes.
  • Proactively identify resistance or adoption challenges and address them through engagement, listening, and practical problem-solving rather than top-down mandates.
  • Establish feedback loops with end users to continuously refine tools, reports, and processes based on real-world usage and evolving needs.
  • Document processes, FAQs, and user guides to ensure knowledge is accessible and transitions are sustainable beyond the initial rollout.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial data management, with a strong focus on data governance, data quality, and system integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI is a core requirement — including expert-level DAX, Power Query (M), data modelling, gateway management, and enterprise deployment. The candidate must be able to build production-quality reports and data models independently.
  • Proven experience in change management — including developing adoption strategies, delivering training, crafting stakeholder communications, and guiding users through system and process transitions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical and data concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, and to tailor messaging for different stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and access control practices.
  • Experience working with enterprise financial systems; hands-on experience with SAP ERP or Jedox is a plus.
  • Experience in post-implementation support and application maintenance (AMS) for enterprise systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward practical, hands-on execution.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, managing multiple priorities without direct reports.

The position is only open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.
