Job Description

The position of Salesforce Developer at NUS IT plays a crucial role in our team. We are in search of a candidate who can contribute to the enhancement and optimization of our Salesforce platform. Our Salesforce instance is integral to NUS's long-term strategy for engaging with prospects, learners, and alumni.

The ideal candidate should possess self-motivation, versatility, strong teamwork skills, and an ability to adapt to our corporate culture. This role entails collaborating with business users, implementing technical solutions, and providing support for day-to-day business operations. The developer will be part of the Student Systems Tower, reporting to the section manager.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

1.    Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze functional requirements.
2.    Develop Apex Classes, Lightning Components, Screen Flow, Visualforce pages, and OmniStudio scripts.
3.    Lead the implementation and management of deployment frameworks, ensuring smooth CI/CD processes.
4.    Drive seamless integration of Salesforce with other NUS systems to optimize data flow and operational efficiency.
5.    Offer extensive support in both functional and technical areas beyond the Salesforce platform as necessary.
6.    Develop comprehensive test plans and oversee UAT coordination with business stakeholders.
7.    Enhance testing efficiency by creating and implementing automated test scripts.
8.    Contribute actively to the technical documentation for the Salesforce platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
9.    Maintain strict adherence to Salesforce best practices and NUS IT policies throughout all development activities.
10.  Collaborate proactively with the Salesforce administrator to troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly.

Qualifications

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2.    Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT functional and/or project management roles, preferably in higher education.
3.    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex requirements.
4.    Proficiency in Salesforce development and implementations, Database management, System Analysis, and Business Analysis.
5.    Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Javascript, Java, Python, or SQL programming languages preferred.
6.    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
7.    Familiarity with IT systems and applications commonly used in educational institutions.
8.    Certification in relevant IT fields is a plus.
