Job Description
The Senior Principal Analyst (Student Systems) analyses complex requirements about the central student system (EduRec), encompassing operational tasks and project initiatives such as NUSHub.
They identify areas for enhancement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and functionality. Additionally, they provide technical expertise and support to ensure the smooth operation of Student Systems applications campus wide.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects related to PeopleSoft Campus Solution.
- Supervises the execution of PeopleSoft Campus Solution projects to achieve targets, which involves configuration setup, analysing user requirements, participating in solution design, planning, preparing test data, developing test scripts, executing testing, and deploying solutions to a live environment, among other responsibilities.
- Develop or review project artefacts and deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with NUS guidelines and policies.
- Oversees procurement processes, including preparing and publishing tender specifications, evaluating and recommending potential solutions or vendors, and managing contracts.
- Maintains close collaboration with business users and fosters strong working relationships.
- Leads the project team to optimise manpower resources while sustaining a positive team morale.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years in the IT industry, including 5 years of experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.x, and over 2 years in project management.
- Strong understanding of IT technologies, methodologies, architectures, and best practices.
- Excellent business process and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly assimilate information and communicate complex requirements and issues. Understanding the business questions users aim to address is crucial.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of integrating PeopleSoft with third-party systems.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of effectively interacting and communicating with all levels of management, users, and vendors.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be a strong team player, proactive, quick learner, highly organised, with a positive attitude.
- Experience with the Salesforce Platform is an added advantage.
